Protector Stainless Steel Perchloric Acid Laboratory Hoods are designed specifically for procedures involving the use of perchloric acid. They feature washdown systems, integral work surfaces and drainage troughs so that they may be thoroughly rinsed after each use to prevent the accumulation of potentially reactive perchloric salts.
Available in 4, 5, 6 and 8-foot widths, these benchtop hoods feature a corrosion-resistant Type 316 stainless steel interior to withstand reaction from perchloric acid. The one-piece liner is free of joints, cracks or crevices to prevent build-up of residue and simplify decontamination procedures.
For many laboratories, managing air quality through engineered controls is essential for worker safety and comfort. However, with numerous options available for fume extraction and air purification, deciding on an engineered solution that best suits your lab’s current and future needs is not always straightforward.
Don't be like Scooter! Learn how to safely and responsibly use your laboratory fume hood!
