The fall tradition of shopping for school clothes every year with my mother is a very fond memory for me. It became a staple event that we all looked forward to. I am thankful that I was fortunate enough to have that experience. Unfortunately, there are hundreds of children that are not as fortunate and don’t have the opportunity to make memories like mine.
August 12 through 16, Labconco employees will be collecting hoodies for our local chapter of Operation School Bell (OSB). OSB helps our community by providing local needy and at-risk children (Kindergarten through fifth grade) to get the clothes, books and other necessities they need to start their school year off right.
Why collect hoodies? Well, we take pride in the quality hoods we manufacture, of course!
Here’s the fun part! Go to Labconco's Facebook page to vote on the Operation ChildHOOD creative entries. Five departments at Labconco created their own unique hoodies, and we're competing to get the most Facebook "likes" for bragging rights and to raise awareness of Operation Schoolbell! Like and share now to help keep kids warm this winter.
Help us collect hoodies and other warm clothes or bring them to an Operation School Bell location near you.
What are you waiting for? It's not getting any warmer out there! Head to Labconco's Facebook page, vote and share!
