Video: Essential tips for pre-freezing prior to lyophilization
One of the most essential steps of the freeze dry process is pre-freezing. Creating more surface during the pre-freeze process can speed up lyophilization, provide a thinner crust on the top layer of the sample, prevent breaking of the glassware, and allow greater heat transfer during the process.
